Do you ever have moments in your career or everyday life that you just don’t feel inspired to be creative? So much of what we do on a daily basis is create content, cultivate collections and beautify the shop so that product is easy to shop! But some days our creative juices just run out.
This year we’ve added a few conferences to our docket to try to boost our creative minds, challenge us in many ways, as well as grow our community!
Last week I attended the Atelier Collective in Toronto. I have to say it was probably one of the best we’ve been to so far. Taryn and Angela poured everything in to every detail to ensure the space was inspiring! They also shot for the stars and brought in some of Canada’s most inspirational, successful women in business.
Often times when you go to such a large scale event, the topics are much more surface level and you can’t get into the nitty gritty in a 30 minute span. But- what I love most about attending events like this, is the conversation it generates later that you may not have had otherwise. The Atelier led to a great brainstorming session with my husband at dinner that night, and a 6 hour strategy meeting (that could have been 12 hours) with the team the following week.
One of the highlights of this trip was seeing Jill and Mindy wearing two of our favourite pieces from the Mad Collection. Not only did they look gorgeous- but what they spoke about is really what resonated with me. At Mad, we too work in a very tight unit, and I loved what their values are for their company and team. I love how driven they are as a group and how they deal with all the different pressures and dynamics that come from being involved with social media & Instagram.
A huge thank you to Chelsea for piecing together this trip to showcase some of our highlights from the week! Check out the Vlog below.
