Packing up and Heading South

It’s the time of year where our capacity to handle the cold is starting to run out. We’re very jealous of Nicola, who’s packing up for a family vacay to Hawaii next week, bringing some of our best pieces from the resort collection. For now, the rest of the team is just dreaming of warmer days to come! (Ps. Stay tuned to see the details from her trip next when she’s home and much more tanned!)

We can’t give you too much packing advice because at Mad, we’re all guilty of bringing as much as our suitcases will hold (you never know what you might need, right?!) Here’s Nicola’s #1 travel tip for what you need to bring to paradise;

“Pack easy, comfortable pieces. Typically a dress or jumpsuit. I don’t want to be worrying about bottoms and putting outfits together. It also eliminates the need for multiple pairs of shoes. One pair of fabulous nude or cognac wedges or heels that go with it all!

Recently packing with Andi I love the white boxes ikea has that they have for your dressers for organizing. I put those in her suitcase and it separates her things. Especially since her stuff is so tiny – I got that brilliant idea from Jillian Harris, so you already know it’s super organized!”

Let us know where you’re flying out on any adventures this winter!

  1. Great blog! I’ve used packing cubes (available at MEC) to help organize my suitcase. When I arrive at my destination the cubes come out of the suitcase and go into dresser drawers. It’s so easy.
